UPDATE: With the need for the BRAIN Initiative Meeting to shift to an all-virtual format, we would like to remind everyone that attendees are responsible for canceling their own travel reservations, hotel rooms, and any cancellation fees.
Cancellations for flights booked by sponsored travelers through TL Corporate will be handled by the meeting logistics coordinator.
Potential travelers are encouraged to plan their travel and hotel reservations based on their comfort level and ability. There is always the possibility that the meeting will need to pivot back to an entirely virtual event should Covid guidelines change. NIH cannot anticipate future pandemic fluctuations or associated shifts in regulations or costs for travel and lodging. Attendees are responsible for making and canceling their travel reservations as needed. Please be mindful of cancellation and change fees as you make your travel plans.
PLEASE NOTE: Hosted/sponsored travelers will be contacted with travel and lodging instructions directly by the meeting logistics team starting April 14, 2022.
Local Airports:
We strongly recommend that those in need of flights pay close attention to the options available regarding cancellation and change fees when purchasing airfare. NIH and meeting organizers are not responsible for any fluctuations in pricing or ticket policies of any airlines.
Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA): Approximately 20 miles/30 minutes
Dulles International Airport (IAD): Approximately 25 miles/30 minutes
Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI): Approximately 40 miles/50 minutes
Lodging:
For your convenience, modest blocks of rooms have been held for registered attendees at two nearby hotels. Scheduled shuttle service will be provided to and from NIH and these participating hotels. Rooms are first-come, first-served before the reservation cut-off date noted in the table below.
We strongly recommend that any attendee who hopes to attend in person completes registration prior to reserving lodging. We understand that your plans may change and request that you update your registration and contact BRAIN@infinityconferences.com as soon as possible if you can no longer participate in person.
Attendees requiring a hotel room should book accommodations online via the reservation link emailed to in-person registrants. A credit card is required to hold the reservation. Please note, all attendees are responsible for their hotel charges, including taxes and incidentals. Attendees are also responsible for reserving and/or canceling rooms as needed and for any cancellation fees. No-shows will be charged one room night on the day of arrival – please be aware of possible reservation, room change, or cancellation deadlines and potential fees.
